Focusing on the refinement of my drawing
and illustrative skills, this collection highlights
the simple beauty of this pocket knife through
techniques including line drawing, rendering,
line illustration and graphic illustration.The line drawing reveals my thought process
in the early stages of the project and establishes
the beautiful form of the knife. The rendering focuses
on the texture of the object and its existence in three
dimensional space. In the final graphic, the enclosed
form of the handle gives the knife a firm and sturdy impression in contrast to the open side of the blade,
hinting to its delicate nature.
